Teak Makai is an American DJ and Producer from the Orange County area in Southern California. He’s a self-taught virtuoso who effortlessly navigates five different instruments – piano, guitar, bass, drums, and ukulele. From a tender age, the allure of music seized his imagination, leading him on a journey from the groovy vibes of 70’s disco to the cutting-edge sounds of contemporary artists.
His production skills are a testament to his diverse influences, seamlessly blending gritty keyboard work with velvety smooth bass lines to create a sound uniquely his own. As a DJ, Teak has graced the stages of prestigious events such as Amsterdam’s Dance Event, Loco Disco OC, Circle OC, Yoon Fest, PURE Music Coachella, Sunday Sessions LA, and Frequency at Brussels Bistro, captivating audiences with his infectious beats and boundless energy.

He made his mark with his debut vinyl release on In The Bag US, followed by acclaimed releases on True House LA and Giggle Records, with more exciting features and releases on the horizon. Locally, Teak is an integral part of the Savaant Ent, True House LA, and Swerve Underground communities, where he serves as a resident DJ and producer, continuing to push boundaries and delight audiences with his innovative soundscapes
